This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar local storage technologies SalesTrack uses, and why. We've kept this short because, honestly, we don't use very many.
| What | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Keeps you logged in between visits, so you don't have to sign in every time | Essential |
| Offline sales queue | Stores sales made while you're offline (in-browser database) so they can sync once you're back online | Essential — functional |
| Cached products & categories | Lets the point-of-sale screen keep working without an internet connection | Essential — functional |
| PWA install status | Remembers whether you've installed SalesTrack to your home screen, so we don't keep asking | Functional |
| Dismissed banners / tips | Remembers if you've closed a banner or seen a tip, for that session | Functional |
Some parts of the Service load resources from third parties, which may set their own minimal technical cookies:
These providers are responsible for their own cookie practices on their own pages.
Because we use local storage for essential functions like offline sales and staying logged in, clearing your browser's site data for SalesTrack will log you out and may affect any sales that haven't yet synced. We recommend only clearing this if instructed by our support team, or after confirming any pending offline sales have synced.
If what we store locally changes — for example, if we add a new feature that needs local storage — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
